Program Information
Program Goals
Teaching valuable social skills and expanding vocabulary. This classroom provides care for children 18 to 30 months of age.
Teachers
Our lead teacher is Skye. She has extensive amounts of training in early childhood, along with yearly continuing education training. She is currently working toward her CDA. Aides in the room are under the lead teacher's supervision. All staff are trained in CPR/First Aid, Safe Sleep, and Shaken Baby Syndrome.
Aides: Maya, Kristin, Lizzie, Anya, & Sadie
Learning Areas
Art
Ripping, coloring, finger painting, free drawing, gluing. One project is done each day with the students according to the week's theme.
Library
We have an area that students are able to sit in and relax with age appropriate books
Dramatic Play
A kitchen area and dress up clothing is provided for students to explore their imagination and act out real life situations
Music and Movement
Age appropriate music is played through out the day to encourage students to move their body.
Outdoor Play
Students will have outdoor time on out playground in both the morning and afternoon as long as weather conditions are suitable.
Extra Information
Classroom teachers will work with students on potty training if parents are also working with students at home and have informed the classroom teachers.
Daily Schedule:
The daily schedule for toddlers is a little more structured than that of the nursery, but is still flexible and allows children to explore and express their varying needs.
