Program Information
Program Goals
Create the foundation that children will learn on by sparking student's interest in learning. This includes exposing students to academic basics, such as, colors, numbers, shapes and letters. This classroom provides care for children 2.5 to 3 years of age.
Teachers
Our lead teacher, Tierza, has been with our program for over 9 years. She has extensive amounts of training in early childhood, along with yearly continuing education training. Tierza also has her Infant/Toddler CDA. Aides in the room are under the lead teachers supervision.
Aides: Maya, Kristin, Lizzie, Anya, & Sadie
Learning Areas
Art
Cutting, coloring, painting, free drawing
Library
We have an area that students are able to sit in and relax with age appropriate books
Dramatic Play
A kitchen area and tool set area a provided for students to explore their imagination and act out real life situations
Music and Movement
Age appropriate music is played through out the day to encourage students to move their body.
Outdoor Play
Students will have outdoor time on out playground in both the morning and afternoon as long as weather conditions are suitable.
Extra Information
Students do not need to be potty trained in order to enroll in this program. Classroom teachers will work with students on potty training. Children must be potty trained before moving into our preschool program.
Daily Schedule:
Children in this classroom start working on preschool information and get prepared to move into a preschool classroom. The daily schedule is more structured, with positive, fun learning activities.
